Top researchers and laboratories were honored; Sattari: Services have been shared of more than 16,000 advanced equipment

The appreciation ceremony for the top researchers using the services of the laboratory network and selected laboratories in this network was held in the presence of Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology.

At the ceremony, Sattari said: "One of the mistakes in the field of research is that researchers do not consider the cost of equipment in projects in the form of purchasing equipment to carry out their research, and the part mainly includes heavy equipment." In addition, different laboratories in the country have various equipment that are often used sparingly. This is one of the issues in the field of research.

The Vice President of Science and Technology continued: "Therefore, to solve the problem, we seriously pursued the establishment of a laboratory network for strategic technologies." Today, more than 16,000 advanced devices have come to the network, and the private sector provides the highest amount of services in the form of this network.

The head of culture and knowledge-based economy headquarters also stated: The research is done by the researcher, not the equipment. They are just tools that can be produced in a variety of ways. Purchased or used the services provided in this field.

Sattari, stating that today we are witnessing the maturity of this network, added: more than 100,000 researchers and companies are members of the network. Currently, faculty members are offered up to 50% discount. It can be extended even if they used this quota. With these measures, we intend to reduce the cost of laboratory services as much as possible to encourage researchers and researchers to use these services. This also leads to the growth of the private sector.

The head of the National Elites Foundation continued: "We are also concluding new memorandums of understanding with the Islamic Azad University so that the laboratories of this university can be added to the network. One of our most important programs is the upgrading of devices and equipment in various fields, which we started with medical equipment. This action leads to the development of knowledge-based companies providing these services.

"Many companies have matured in these areas," said the vice president of science and technology, noting that a significant amount of equipment is sourced domestically. For example, we have serious support for education conservatories to use Iranian-made devices. In this case, the student works with Iranian devices, which is a kind of culture building and introduces innovation to students.

Sattari also stated: We are seriously pursuing the discussion of supporting the laboratory network of strategic technologies. In addition to a 50% discount for faculty members, we also have a discount of up to 90% for Iranian researchers returning to the country, members of the National Elites Foundation and top researchers. The network is currently the largest buyer of laboratory services in the country.

Continuing the ceremony, Reza Asadifard, director of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network, said: "More than 700 active groups are members of the network, whose activities are one of the important reasons for the formation of the network." In addition, in the next stage, we should consider the support of the Vice President for Science and Technology as a reason for the prosperity of network activities.

The top 10 researchers and 10 selected laboratories were honored in the presence of Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology, and Reza Asadifard, Head of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network.
