The vice president for innovation and technology commercialization passed away

The vice president for innovation and technology commercialization passed away

 

Unfortunately, the vice president for innovation and technology commercialization of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs passed away.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin, the vice president for innovation and technology commercialization, passed away in Isfahan due to heart failure.

He had a PhD in food science and technology with orientation of food biotechnology from University of Nottingham, England. He was an associate professor in Isfahan University of Industry and head of the science and research town of Isfahan. In 2013, he was appointed as the vice president for innovation and technology commercialization.   

He was also the secretary of the rounds 1-5 of the national festival and exhibition of science to practice, head of the festival and exhibition of laboratory equipment made in Iran and a member of the policy making council of the national, cultural, and art festival of made in Iran.

In 2010, Sheikh Zeinoddin was recognized as the top technology manager of the country, head of the Western Asia Branch and member of the board of directors of the international association of scientific parks (IASP) during 2010-2012.

He was also the head of the national festival of Sheikh Bahaei and member of the working group of specialized technology evaluation committee of the ministry of science, research and technology.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased. His funeral will be announced in Isfahan and Tehran.
