The unveiling of Made in Iran anti-cancer drug with five million dollars in foreign exchange savings

With the presence of the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy, the injectable anti-cancer drug cyclophosphamide was unveiled that is produced by Nano Daroo Alborz.

According to the communication and information center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, this morning, at the same time as President Ayatollah Ebrahim Raeisi's visit to Alborz province, a sample of cyclophosphamide was unveiled. This knowledge-based product with the trade name Endoxina in two doses of 500 and 1000 is produced by Knowledge-based Nano Daroo Alvand.

This drug is sanctioned and has a foreign currency exchange rate of about five million dollars per year, with its internalization, the foreign exchange route will be blocked and, in the future, it will be provided for export. The average annual need of the country's treatment field for this drug is 400,000 doses, and with 100% domestic production of this product, the country's need to import foreign samples will be solved.

This drug is supplied to the pharmaceutical market of the country with the same quality as the American sample.

With the domestic production of cyclophosphamide, Iran will be among the five countries that have the technology to produce this anti-cancer drug.

Cyclophosphamide is an injectable drug that is used in combination with other chemotherapy drugs to treat various cancers such as leukemia, ovarian, breast, eye, etc.
