The second call for joint research projects of Iran and Russia is published
The second call for support of joint research projects between Iranian and Russian researchers was published to witness the development of scientific and technological activities in the two countries.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Iran national science foundation and Russia basic research center will support the joint research projects of the country in the second call.
Mathematics, physics and astronomy, advanced chemistry and materials, biology, bioinformatics and cognitive sciences, earth sciences (focusing on Antarctic and Caspian studies), history, archeology, ethnology and anthropology, economics, linguistics and cultural studies, technology information, computer systems and artificial intelligence, mechanics, aerospace, oil and gas scientific fields are advanced studies of researchers in the submit of their research projects.
The call was started on January 15th, 2020 and the researchers can send their projects until March 25th, 2020.
In the call, it is announced that the main Iranian researcher must be a faculty member of one of the universities or research institutes of the country and the main Russian researcher must be recruited by one of the universities of Russia. According to the report, the first round of call was published in 2016, according to which 18 research projects were supported.
