The private sector can make successful developments in the potentials of creative industries

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Hossein Sajadi Nayeri, secretary of soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter, stated on the first meeting of a series of meetings between creative companies and the ecosystem development program for creative companies, which was held in the presence of investors: three years ago, we felt a need to pay attention to companies that cannot be supported by the law due to the specific form of law to support knowledge-based companies.

He continued: many external observers may recognize the Vice-Presidency as the executive manager of the program to support knowledge-based companies. Nevertheless, various units and organizations have cooperated with the Vice-Presidency to follow up this issue and develop the proper ecosystem. However, it seems that attention must be paid to other areas in this ecosystem in order to achieve a knowledge-based economy.

Sajadi asserted: after various evaluations and consulting with internal organizations of the Vice-Presidency, we reached a program called “development of the ecosystem for creative companies”. The main goal of this program is support of companies that are active in two major fields but are not supported by the law to support knowledge-based companies.

Secretary of the working group for development of the ecosystem for creative companies introduced the first group as new business startups, which are mostly IT-based enterprises. According to Sajadi, the second category encompasses active companies in cultural industry field.

He added: the program to develop the ecosystem for creative companies is a supplementary program to support knowledge-based companies in order to achieve a knowledge-based economy.

In this end, he affirmed: this is the first meeting of a set of meetings that will be held on the area of creative industries and their role in the development of knowledge-based economy. We hope that with the help of activists of the field, this program would be turned into a successful program for the country. The private sector is the most important investor that can make the potentials of this field successful.

“Meeting on opportunities and challenges of investment in creative industries” was held with the cooperation of secretary of creative companies development program and association of venture capitals of the country in the presence of investors, investees, managers and specialists in the field of cultural and creative industries.
