According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the Vice-Presidency hosted a group of managers and experts of ministry of environment of Germany. After holding several meetings with relevant units in the section of energy and environment of the country, this group explained about the achievements of these meetings in the presence of Zeynab Hamidzadeh, the national executor of the project of “Advancement the formation of optimization market for energy and environment”, and Ali Morteza Birang, head of the center for international interactions in science and technology.

During the meeting, Birang explained about the importance of this project and officially introduced Dr. Hamidzadeh as the national executor of the project to the German party.

Zeynab Hamidzadeh, the national executor of the project, pointed out the importance of advancing cooperation in accordance with the agreement between the Vice-Presidency of Iran and ministry of environment of Germany, expressing: successful implementation of the agreement and cooperation of the stake-holders of the energy and environment optimization market were approved in 2017 by the high energy council and based on the suggestion of the Vice-Presidency.

She continued: the energy and environment optimization market will be established with the cooperation of ministry of oil, ministry of energy, the Vice-Presidency, environmental protection organization and other state and private units of the country in order to achieve the goals, policies and laws of the country in the area of energy use reduction and emission of greenhouse gases, activation of the private section, specially knowledge-based companies, and attraction of international cooperation.

According to this report, assisting in the development of regulations and guidelines for establishing a market for energy and environmental improvement in Iran based on internationally successful experiences is the main goal of this cooperation project between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs of Iran and the ministry of environment of Germany.

In addition, implementation of the environment and energy optimization market in the Pars Energy Special Zone and green rural areas through performing case projects in another objective of this cooperation.

The German Institute for Economic Research, along with two other internationally accredited companies, is responsible for promoting the German Federal Ministry of Environmental Protection.

The initial meeting of the project will be held November 21^st 2018 with members of the Steering Committee, representatives of the German Ministry of Environment, German Ambassador to Tehran and active experts from Iran and Germany.
