According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the information and communication technologies development headquarter held a meeting in line with the support of domestic products and knowledge-based companies with the title of vision of acceptance of the proposed tariffs in various areas of electricity, electronics, telecommunication and information technology. During the meeting, discussions were carried out to increase and/or decrease the tariffs according to the prepared forms.
Mohammad Reza Pourfard, secretary of the working group of electronics, microelectronics and robotics of the information, communication and cyberspace development headquarter, emphasized the importance of activities of knowledge-based companies, asserting: as one of the members of the “Committee on Export-Import Regulation Act”, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has aimed to provide the necessary supports for knowledge-based companies with regard to the importance of these enterprises in the country.
Pourfard pointed out the planning of the information, communication and cyberspace development headquarter, expressing: the Vice-Presidency and our headquarter have aimed to use tariff tools in line with the activities of various companies in areas of electricity, electronics, telecommunication and communication, which is in line with the support of knowledge-based companies in the first place and other technological companies after that.
He affirmed that the government section has limited tools to implement its policies, marking: the government section has implementation tools for its policies, which are limited. In other words, the restricted toolbox of the government in areas of financial support, bank interests, custom tariffs, standards and licenses for knowledge-based companies cause problems. Therefore, it is recommend that recommendations be proposed by the trade unions and associations in proportion to the government tools.
