The first symposium on “muscle disorders, stem cells and regenerative medicine” was held with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter, regarded the application of stem cells and regenerative medicine in treatment of muscle disorders an important and updated issue, which can promote this science at the specialized levels.

He pointed out the programs of the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter, expressing: the framework of the headquarter is the national document of stem cells sciences and technologies, which is a strong document and has been approved by the cultural revolution higher council.

Considering the necessary infrastructures of the country in establishment of national laboratory animal breeding farms in Kerman, Hamidieh marked: increased attention of the global community to advanced sciences and technologies, especially stem cells and regenerative medicine, doubles the necessity of attention to infrastructural research and scientific empowerment in this field.

Secretary of stem cells sciences and technologies continued: fortunately, this necessity has been accurately recognized at the right time and the national farm of laboratory animal breeding was established with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter, Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Kerman University of Medical Sciences and one knowledge-based company.

Hamidieh also explained the establishment of city of cell, asserting: this project is designed with the goal of qualitative and quantitative recognition and development of active companies of the field, education and empowering of companies, development of the field for production of cellular products and increased share of Iran of the stem cell market of the region.
