The first student biostartup of Tehran was held

The first student biostartup of Tehran was held in the presence of top students of the 22 districts of Tehran and with the support of the biotechnology development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first student biostartup of Tehran was held in presence of top students of the 22 districts of Tehran in the research and creativity center of Maryam Mirzakhani (Sadra Mehr Institute) with the support of the biotechnology development headquarter.

In this ceremony, Somateh Almafar, manager of the Sadra Mehr Biotechnology and Science Institute, stated: the biotechnology and biology section of our institute has been formed for students for a year now by the efforts of the biotechnology development headquarter. Students come to the center from various districts of Tehran to use its facilities in the field of biotechnology.

She added: we need to teach others that biology has a high capacity and there are many business-related ideas in this field in order to be turned into product and technology. We believed that simple education of biology in schools must be turned into a technological viewpoint.

According to the manager of Sadr Mehr institute, the top ideas of students are published in a journal, which can be sold.

The closing ceremony of this startup was attended by the education manager of district two of Tehran, manager of research centers of Tehran, manager of education of human resource and promotion of biotechnology development headquarter and representative of the foundation for support of biotechnology.
