According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the importance of cultural and creative industries as the local advantage of the country on the opening ceremony of national park of soft technologies and cultural industries, which is established by the support of the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter: cultural industries are the result of more than five thousand years of history in the country, where various ethnicities have produced different types of cultural products to show their love and altruism. However, over the past few years, a considerable part of this valuable heritage has been ruined due to relying on oil and resource-based economy.
Sattari talked about the necessity of creating the ecosystem for cultural and creative industries by the infrastructural support and modification of latitudes toward the knowledge-based economy, expressing: over these years, the most costs have been made in the area of education and we have a proper condition with four million and 800 thousand students. However, we have not been able to train prominent scientists, such as Ibn Heisam, Sa’di and Hafiz since there is no proper ecosystem for such processes.
Necessity of Formation of a Foundation for Entrepreneurship of Creative Human Resource
Sattari mentioned the lack of government support of the ecosystem of entrepreneurship, realizing that government asset destroys this ecosystem. In this regard, he continued: if that was the case, the countries next to the Persian Gulf would spend huge amounts of money for establishing this ecosystem.
The vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out the key role of universities in development of creative and cultural industries by training creative and entrepreneurial human resource.
Support of Creative and Cultural industries by the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs
Head of the national elites foundation regarded innovation as the most valuable asset of the country for development the knowledge-based economy, stating: the most valuable component of ecosystem of entrepreneurship is creative human resource, and investors of the private sector, accelerators, growth centers and other components can shape this ecosystem by cooperation with each other.
Appreciating the Top Creative and Cultural Industries
During the ceremony, Tayebi, head of Jihad Daneshgahi, Ahmad Masjed Jamei, member of council of Tehran, Hesam al-Din Ashna, advisor to the president, Seyed Saeed Hashemi, university of science and culture, and Hojatollah Ayoubi, general secretary of UNESCO commission in Iran, accompanied Sattari in appreciating the top works in the area of cultural and creative industries and unveiled the memorial tablet for opening the national park of soft sciences and technologies and cultural industries.
Visiting Active Startups and Companies
During the visit, Sattari and the accompanied delegation visited the achievements and abilities of startups and companies based in the park.
According to this report, the national park of soft sciences and technologies and cultural industries has initiated its activities with the support of the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter and Jihad Daneshgahi since April with the goal of support of businesses in the soft and cultural areas.
