According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, presenter of national division of labor in the field of biotechnology, Mahmoud Tavallaee, presenter of national division of labor in the field of biotechnology, expressed on briefing on the plan of division of labor in the field of biotechnology: the aim of this plan is to synchronize and increase the productivity of capacities and activities in the area of biotechnology in the country, determine the research priorities of universities and research centers, and integrate the plan in order to prevent multiplicity of research on similar topics and identify important issues in this regard.

Tavallaee pointed out the purposes of this plan, the methods used to implement it and the importance of participation of attended universities and research units, among which the most important units in the field of biotechnology are units of Tehran and Alborz.

Tavallaee also asserted: it is hoped that the priorities of universities and research units be determined for the next year and actions of these organizations be purposefully supported by biotech development headquarters.

The meeting on the division of labor in the field of biotechnology was held on biotech development headquarters, attended by research deputies of universities of Tehran, Shahid Beheshti and major research centers, such as Pasteur Institute, National Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Royan Institute, Ibn-Sīnā Research Institute and Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute.
