The co-evolution of the countrys regulatory system is required for the development of innovation

The deputy of policy and strategic assessment affairs stated: the country"s scientific, technological and innovative capacities have reached a stage in which evolution and upgrading require deliberate and flexible regulation.

The 13th international conference on management of technology & innovation was held by Iranian association of technology and innovation management with the support of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter and the national space and advanced transportation administration.

In addition, 11 specialized panels were held during the conference.

Holding a number of specialized panels was the responsibility of the Vice-Presidency. Mahdi Eliasi, the deputy of policy and strategic assessment affairs, was one of the holders of the panel of “hidden and apparent innovation regulations”.

During the panel, Eliasi affirmed: the main need for the formation of an innovation ecosystem in the country is regulatory issues.

The deputy of policy and strategic assessment affairs continued: this adjustment, which will lead to the transformation of industrial and corporate structures, will not be an easy process at all, and the governing bodies will play a major role in these changes.

Eliasi provided an example in the health field as a more successful example, compared to other parts of the country, emphasizing: continued cooperation of political entrepreneurs, technology entrepreneurs and technology support institutions as a key pillar of development with a focus on reforming and improving the regulatory system is the most important principle for developing an innovation system in the country.

He also mentioned: all of the new technologies such as advanced drugs, stem cells and gene therapy, transgenic products, commercial drones as well as new economic paradigms such as digital economy, participatory economy and rotational economy are all new areas that require special regulation.
