According to the Public Relations and information Center of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, Mahmoud Mehrdad Shokrieh, secretary of advanced manufacturing and materials development headquarter, stated: this area has a significant economic and strategic importance in all countries. Due to this importance, a great attention has been paid to this area, such as current interference of the president of the United States in increase of tariff of metal and aluminum import to the country.

He continued: Americans intervene in this issue by having a knowledge about the negative impacts of import of materials to the country by relating this issue to national security. In addition, they specifically emphasize innovations in the area of advanced materials, conducting programs such as genome material program to reduce the duration of commercialization of products. Such policies are observed in other parts of the countries of the world as well.

Shokrieh also affirmed: therefore, this important and critical issue, which is both related to relative benefits and strategic abilities of the country, has been taken into account by high-ranking authorities to create synergy, so that achievements could be observed in the future of advanced manufacturing and materials.
