The biotechnology development headquarter will hold a meeting with the goal of improving the role of biotechnology in health and medicine.

The biotechnology is a joint area of different sciences, formed due to overlap with each other. In fact, this science can be likened to a tree, the roots of which are intertwined with ancient sciences, such as biology, genetics, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, chemical engineering, botany, zoology, pharmacy and computer sciences.

Given the considerable role of biotechnology in the development of other sciences, the biotechnology headquarter has aimed to hold a specialized meeting on biotechnology in medicine and health sciences.

The main topics of the meeting included manufacturing biomaterials to replace hard tissues such as bone marrow biomaterials, bone cement and tissue engineering scaffolds, producing medical and pharmaceutical biosensors, bio-implants and fluid and medical equipment for pulmonary and heart disease, and design and production of systems based on biomedical and medical databases for geo-phylogenetic studies, prenatal screening, neonatal cerebral palsy and lung cancer.

The meeting will be held January 6^th, 2019 in K. N. Toosi University of Technology.
