The last days of October this year, Iranian-based knowledge companies traveled to Azerbaijan with a perspective of exporting and developing the market for their products in a variety of fields such as high-resistance coatings, probiotics and livestock and poultry medicines, biological and bio-friendly pesticides and fertilizers and pesticides. During this four-day trip, which happened by the support of the deputy of international exchange and resources and the Vice-Presidency, the city of Baku hosted 50 Iranian knowledge-based companies.
During the travel, the representatives of the companies attended commercial meetings with their foreign counterparts. These multilateral meetings led to signing six agreements that can increase the export and transfer of technology from Iran.
The contracts were concluded with a value of $4 million and were signed in the presence of representatives of the deputy of international exchange and resources, the Vice-Presidency, Iran national science fund and representatives from Azerbaijan and Baku Techno Park.
In addition, the first permanent pavilion of Iran is created in Azerbaijan with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and cooperation of the private sector. It is decided to exhibit the samples of companies in a permanent exhibition by establishing Iranian marketing groups of the knowledge-based companies in the center.
This center is established with the support of the deputy of international exchange and resources, the Vice-Presidency and Iran national science fund as an export base for knowledge-based companies to enter the market of Azerbaijan and commonwealth countries.
During the ceremony, Ali Vahdat, the president of Iran national science fund, considered the cooperation signed as a new chapter of cooperation between the two countries in the field of knowledge-based activities.
Other parts of the travel included visiting Baku techno park and visiting STP advanced factories in Baku. These two organizations have a high capacity in attracting advanced technologies and investment for development of applicable products in Azerbaijan and visiting knowledge-based companies of Iran at the center.
