The Iranian Version of Intelligent Automation Will Be Presented in the Power Industry

One of the companies of Pardis technology park presented intelligent automation in the power industry

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, an agreement was signed by the two parties on planning and implementation of the pilot of the project of “intelligent automation of electricity distribution network through the capacity of knowledge-based and technology companies”.

Implementation of the pilot of this project is in line with the elimination of needs in the power industry of the country and realization of supplying the equipment and presenting the services required by the distribution company to have the knowledge and ability of domestic knowledge-based and technology companies to have intelligent automation in the power distribution network in Khuzestan province. This will be performed by the cooperation of Mahar System power engineering company, which is an active member of the park, on the design and construction of AMI, DCS and SCADA systems.

In the beginning of the meeting, head of the board of trustees and CEO of Khuzestan Electric Power Distribution Company and his delegation visited the achievements of the companies in the technology park and recognized the capacities of these companies.

Energy efficiency and competitive energy economy, development of measurement techniques and using other technologies such as automation have enabled the Khuzestan Electric Power Distribution Company to remotely monitor and control the network equipment online and interact with network members and power users with the help of intelligent software. This can lead to the distribution of simultaneous load of the network to reduce energy waste and optimally use the equipment.

In general, it could be stated that the benefits of this project are reduced power outage, decreased emission of greenhouse gases by using various energy sources, such as renewable and distributed generators, management of consumption using intelligent measurement tools, increased power quality, optimal use of the current infrastructures and creation of a two-way interaction with customers and selling the additional power.
