The national nanotechnology competition is the biggest scientific competition in the field of nanotechnology among students and graduates, which is held in the presence of thousands of enthusiasts of the field every year. Winners of this competition can develop their technological ideas by attending nano startups and benefit from financial and spiritual support provided by the nanotechnology development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the national nanotechnology competition is a scientific competition among students and graduates of this field held every year by the nanotechnology development headquarter.

The aim of holding this competition is increasing the knowledge of researchers about nanotechnology, developing education on nanotechnology in universities and other scientific-educational centers of the country, recognizing and supporting the bests of the field of nanotechnology, directing educational activities, and providing promotional support.

The 9^th round of the national nanotechnology competition will be held in two stages. The first stage will be held May 16^th-21^st, 2019 online on the website of edu.nano.ir.

Those able to achieve the minimum acceptance score will be eligible to participate in the second stage of the competition.

The second stage will be held in July 19^th 2019 in-person at the test holding branches of the country.

Winners of the second stage of the competition will receive cash and non-cash prizes worth of 1800 million rials, elite score from the national elites foundation, Umrah and Atabat travel quotas, gold, silver, and bronze medals of the competition, certificate of nanotechnology teaching ability, and permission to attend in nano startups.
