The 30th international congress on neonatal diseases was held

 

The 30th international congress on neonatal diseases was held with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, “the 30th international congress on neonatal diseases” was held in Children"s Medical Center with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter and with the cooperation of children group of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

In addition to its scientific achievements, this congress is an opportunity for exchange of thoughts between colleagues from different fields related to neonatal medicine and neonatal nursing group of Iran and other countries of the world. In addition, familiarity with the new medical equipment and pharmaceutical products is another consequence of this conference.

Among the topics of the event were pediatric specialized and pediatric diseases, children"s metabolic abnormalities, hereditary genetic diseases, clinical pharmacology, poisoning, children"s health conference (healthy baby, evolution, rehabilitation of children and breast, survival, evolutionary screening tools, child development, radiology in children, nursing in children"s diseases, pediatric dentistry, pediatric surgery, contemporary pediatric clinics, CF, basic sciences in children"s diseases (genetics and laboratory sciences-stem cells and other sciences), and young researchers.

In the cell and gene therapy panel managed by Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter and faculty member of children’s medicine center, explained the generalities of cell therapy in children’s diseases, new sciences and their visions, and the position of Iran in using this therapeutic protocol.

Ehsan Arefian, deputy of the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter, talked about the methods of gene transfer for gene therapy of neonatal disease. After that, Mahdi Shamsara presented a lecture on genetic correction methods and genome editing in genetic diseases related to children.

At the end of the meeting, the secretary of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter summarized the area of knowledge and its technologies as a new method, expressing: the next generation of cell therapy can be done with cellular engineering, and cell infusion alone will not respond to new treatments.
