Students Tested Their Knowledge in Brain Field

 

In line with holding the first stage of the sixth national “brain knowledge” competition, 3,000 students competed with each other from 32 difference provinces. The main goal of the event is promoting cognitive sciences among students.

“Brain knowledge” is the title of a competition held by the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter every year. The winners of the final stage will compete in global competitions. The second stage of the event will be held in April 2020 and the winner will compete in the global brain knowledge competition in Washington, the United States.

Familiarization of students with various fields of cognitive sciences is the main goal of the event in order select different disciplines in the field in the future. The national “brain knowledge” competition is held every year between students aged 13-18 years in Tehran and capitals of provinces of the country in two stages.

According to the report, the “brain bee” global competitions are held every year in the field of neurosciences, especially for high-school students. Each country sends a representative to the competition.

The representatives of Iran were among the top five countries in the last five years, and were ranked third in the global competitions in South Korea in the fifth round.
