According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed that Tehran is one of the creative and innovative cities of Iran with a potential capacity of transformation during his visit of the book garden of Tehran, stating: the scientific capacities and foundations of Tehran, which contains millions of young individuals, play a significant role in change of educational direction and methods.
Capacity of Startups for Transformation of Education Structures
Sattari pointed out the role of startups and knowledge-based companies in the area of education in realization of knowledge-based economy, affirming: creative and powerful startups and knowledge-based companies, that are active in the education area, can transform the former structure of education and realize the entrance of innovation to this area, paving the way for moving of basic education toward knowledge-based economy.
President of the national elites foundation mentioned the necessity of entrance of the private sector into the innovative area of education, marking: education is one of the important and strategies areas, for which the government can be involved through support and guidance and the main path must be paved for the private sector.
Visit of the Cultural Innovative Complex at the Heart of Tehran
The book garden of Tehran is a two-story cultural and educational complex with the area of 110 thousand m2 and contains four main sections of Baharestan (children and adolescents), Khialestan (digital technologies), Negarestan (cinema halls) and Sarvestan (public and adults). This center is active for familiarization of the young community with scientific issues and innovations.
During this visit, Sattari was accompanied by Seyed Majid Hosseini, CEO of Nashr Shahr Institute and manager of the book garden, Parviz Karami, secretary of knowledge-based technologies, sciences and economy development headquarter, and Esmaeil Ghaderifar, head of the strategic technologies development center.
