Scientific security of Iran depends on the production and development of science and technology
Seyed Kamal Kharazi, secretary of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter, stated on the closing ceremony of the fifth round of cognitive neuroscience competition, special student event: supply of scientific security in the country depends on the production and development of science and technology by the efforts of the youth of the country.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, secretary of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter, regarded school students as soldiers of fields of science and technology during the ceremony, pointing out the sacrifices made by the youth to supply security in the country, stating: just as the the youth fight against their enemies with their lives in order not to harm the country"s security, the youth of Iran must supply and confirm the scientific security of the country by learning and developing various sciences and technologies in schools and universities.
Obtaining the Secrets of Mind and Brain
Kharazi pointed out that today countries such as the United States, seek macro investments in the area of cognitive sciences to achieve the secrets of mind and brain and spread their domination in the world by doing so. In this regard, he affirmed: the modern world is not a hardware era and has been replaced with the software era.
School Students Are Soldiers of Scientific Society
Kharazi regarded familiarization with exceptional talents as a valuable step toward the promotion and improvement of knowledge and technology and a brighter future.
According to this report, the closing ceremony of the 5th round of neurocognitive competition, special student event, was held in Alame Heli High School in Tehran in the presence of the secretary of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter, and head of the national center of exceptional talents.
Presence of More than 900 Students from Across the Country in the Neurocognitive Sciences Competition
More than 900 students in 35 teams and 100 instructors from across the country attended the fifth round of the neurocognitive sciences competition. On the closing ceremony, which was attended by Mohammad Taghi Joghataei, senior advisor of cognitive sciences development headquarter and a number of authorities and academic professors, two students teams from Dezful and one team from Zahedan were introduced as the top students.
A student team from Dezful was the first place winner with the project of “coding smells using brain signal recording”, followed by a team from Zahedan with the project of “functional effect of induction on memory” and a team from Dezful with the project of “voice therapy effects on brain activity” placed second and third, respectively.
Promotion and improvement of cognitive knowledge among students
These competitions are held to more familiarize students with the area of cognitive sciences and promote their knowledge at the level of educational spaces. This event is held every year with the support of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and with the cooperation of the national center of exceptional talents and general office of education of provinces.
The neurocognitive sciences competition (special student) was held in 2013 for the first time with the support of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and a number of graduates of Alame Heli High School with the goal of attracting those eager to study “brain”, inspired by the international competitions of backyard brain.
The fifth round of neurocognitive sciences competition was initiated last fall by holding the third round of polar workstations and was ended by introducing the top works and after the evaluation of the works presented by students in spring of this year.
