Sattari: Tehran Is among the Top 50 Technological Cities

The 18th annual summit and festival of top companies of Pardis Technology Park was held in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, the vice speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the center for progress and development of Iran, and the governor of Pardis. In addition to awarding the top knowledge-based companies, four commercialized knowledge-based products were unveiled by the technologists based in Pardis Technology Park during the ceremony.

“Tehran”; A Platform for an Innovative Economy

During the ceremony, the vice president for science and technology affairs considered Tehran a platform for boosting of innovative businesses, asserting: according to the latest GII (Global Innovation Index) report, Tehran is in the top 50 cities in technology business development, and Iran has risen from 46th to 43rd in the region's technology clusters. This shows that Iran, and especially Tehran, has become a favorable platform for the creation of innovative ideas.

Pointing out the serious determination of the Vice-Presidency to promote knowledge-based discourse as a culture in the country, Sattari marked: my main effort was to make society believe that what matters most is manpower, and that a society that values individuals solely on the basis of material possessions values innovation and creative thinking as a value.

Pardis Technology Park Will Become a “Technological City”

Sattari considered the construction of the fourth phase of Pardis Technology Park as a facilitator of realizing a technological city, stating: the fourth phase of Pardis Park has taken important steps towards realization, and soon with the construction of this phase and the addition of more than 500 hectares to the 140-hectare bed of Pardis Technology Park, we will see the creation of a technology city. A city that becomes a fertile ground for the creation of wealth and added value from innovative ideas.

According to Sattari, the technological city at the heart of Pardis will become a platform for role-playing of entrepreneurs and young elites. In this regard, he affirmed: Pardis Technology Park has become a successful model of the ecosystem that is suitable for the activities of top talents and elites and many young creative people have boosted their businesses. With the development of this park and the construction of the fourth phase, we will witness the formation of a fruitful field of innovative businesses.

Pointing out the cooperation between the authorities and organizations of the country to realize the knowledge-based economy, Sattari expressed: the Supreme Leader has significantly helped the realization of knowledge-based economy and his follow-up led to the issue becoming an important discourse.

An Ecosystem for Attention to Human Capital

He mentioned that the literature of knowledge-based economy has taken human capital into account, stating: innovation factories, accelerators and venture capital funds have undergone a fundamental change in the country's economic literature in recent years, and promoting this important issue requires, above all, culture-building; All sectors play a pivotal role in promoting the culture of knowledge-based economics and consolidating this new literature.

Mahdi Safarinia, the president of Pardis Technology Park, mentioned that the development projects will lead to the expansion of the area of the park to more than 140 hectares, adding: we staunched the foreign currency drain at a value of more than $88 million owing to the activities of knowledge-based companies in the park. This capacity can be increased to $150 million.

He mentioned: the members of the park have earned 27 million Euros by exporting more than 50 knowledge-based companies to 22 countries. In addition, with sales of 112 thousand billion rials, they will see a growth of 36%.

According to the head of the park, 27 companies with 31 knowledge-based products have been active in the field of corona, which use the capacity of the park to produce their products and promote domestic and international health.

Unveiling Four Knowledge-based Products

During the event, Sattari unveiled four innovative products of the members of the park, commercialization of which has been finished and they are in the contract stage.

Awarding the Bests

The title of the best company of the park along with a special award and the title of the top knowledge-based company of the 18th annual summit and festival of the bests of Pardis Technology Park was given to NOSA (Iran Software & Hardware) Co.

At the ceremony, the best among the more than 100 knowledge-based and technology companies, which participated in the evaluation process and their performance was reviewed in 9 topics, were honored.

Fanap, Pouyesh Darou, Asan Pardakhy Persian, Karafaran Pardaz Mobtaker Mana, Rasha, Nosa and Niroo Mekanik Asia companies were awarded in the presence of the vice president, the governor of Pardis, and the head of the center for progress and development of Iran.

Tehran Regional Electricity Company was honored as a top partner organization for providing sustainable park infrastructure and defining cooperation and concluding research contracts with park member companies.

Honoring the Vice President by Knowledge-based Companies

During the ceremony, a number of managers of knowledge-based companies honored the vice president as the representatives of the activists of the innovation and technology ecosystem, calling him the father of the knowledge-based and startup ecosystem of Iran.
