Representatives of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology met with Armenian officials; Cooperation between the two countries is strengthened; Creating a joint technology park

A 50-member delegation of Iranian knowledge-based and creative companies, with the support of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, left for Armenia for the second time.

The visit was aimed at developing the global market for Made in Iran products and services, so that Iranian companies could facilitate a collaborative work environment between the two countries in face-to-face meetings with their Armenian counterparts. This also helps to bring the products and services of Iranian scholars to the Eurasian market.

Mehdi Eliassy, the Deputy for Policy and Development in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, and Abbas Badakhshan, Ambassador of Iran to Armenia, will accompany the companies. During this visit, the Iranian representatives met with the officials of this country and emphasized on the development of relations between the two countries.

The Minister of Economy of Armenia Vuhan Karubian, in a meeting with the deputy for Policy and Development in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, referring to the extensive relations between Iran and Armenia, said: "All cooperation, both economic and technological, is supported by Armenia." We are interested in developing academic cooperation between the two countries.

He added: "We must provide space and infrastructure to introduce the technology companies of the two countries to each other and create a forum to introduce the products and services of knowledge-based and creative companies of both sides."

According to Karroubian, the establishment of a joint technology park between Iran and Armenia in the Nakhchivan-Ararat region is a good idea and we will try to set up and equip this park within 6 months. Activists in the field of medical and hospital equipment can also be among the first groups based in this park.

The Minister of Economy of Armenia also stated: We can also package and export Iranian medicines. If a drug from Iran is registered in Armenia, it will also enter the Eurasian market.

 The Deputy Minister of Advanced Technologies of Armenia, David Sahakyan, also hosted a delegation of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology to Armenia. We have considered and provided them with free aid.

He added: "One of our interests is the development of technologies in the field of telecommunications, and communications, space, advanced technologies, biotechnology, fintech, Internet of Things, etc. with Iran." We hope to be able to develop these technologies with the help of the two countries.

The meetings continued with a meeting between Mehdi Eliassy, the Deputy for Policy and Development in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, and Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Armenia. In this meeting, emphasis was placed on the development of relations between the two countries in the three areas of road construction, waste disposal and waste, and the future and prospects of cooperation between Iran and Armenia were assessed as good. The meeting also emphasized the joint development of technologies in the fields of water, energy, intelligence, agricultural equipment and infrastructure.

 

He continued: "Our country is interested in taking an open approach to the sharing of knowledge, technical expertise and policy experiences for the inclusive development of partner countries in its international cooperation, and especially with friendly countries."

Referring to Iran's experience in international cooperation in the field of Corona, Eliasson said: "Based on these experiences, it can be acknowledged that the open exchange of advanced technologies at the international level provides a vital opportunity to ensure the prosperity and progress of nations."
