Proper management policies were presented to control road traffic accidents in Iran

“Providing appropriate management policies for driving accidents and accidents in Iran using the system of dynamics modeling approach” is the title of a project performed by the researchers of the country to witness proper management of road accidents.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, based on the statistics by the World Health Organization, about 24.1 million individuals die in road accidents every year in the world. In addition, there are more than 50 million casualties per year.

In this regard, the researchers of Shahid Beheshti University conducted a research with the title of “providing appropriate management policies for driving accidents and accidents in Iran using the system of dynamics modeling approach”. This project was supported by the Iranian national science foundation.

Providing policies and solutions to control or reduce road accidents in Iran and reduce distance with global standards by a system dynamics approach is the main goal of this research, so that these accidents could be controlled by recognizing the main issue in this regard. Moreover, recognition of key and effective variables in the evaluated issue and the causal relation between these variables, design of a dynamic model system for evaluated issue, simulation of outcomes of decision making and various political options are among the other goals of the research.
