Presence of Winners of Mustafa Prize in Step Meeting

 

In order to introduce the achievements of prominent scientists to the Islamic world, among the winners of the second round of the Mustafa Prize, professor Jackie Ying, professor Sami Erol Gelenbe, and professor Mohammad Amin Shokrollahi will attend the second round of science and technology exchange program (STEP) in Islamic countries.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, professor Jackie Ying, the winner of the first round of the Mustafa Prize for nanotechnology achievements will attend the STEP 2018 along with professors Sami Erol Gelenbe and Mohammad Amin Shokrollahi, the winners of the second round of the Mustafa Prize in fields of information and communications technology and information theory, respectively.

Rasoul Dinarvand, the executive secretary of the fourth round of STEP in Islamic countries expressed: in this event, we will announce the winners of the first and second rounds of the Mustafa prize as a model for the young scientists. Similar to other global prizes, the Mustafa Prize has aimed to introduce the prominent scientists and their achievements to the Islamic world.

He also stated: in addition to the fact that the audience of the Mustafa Prize are society members, its especial objective is affecting the community of experts and scientists so that the Islamic countries could be familiarized with their successes.

The Mustafa Prize, the high sign of science and technology in the Islamic world, is given to the top researcher and scientists of the Islamic world every two years. The Mustafa Prize recognizes, introduces and awards the top science and technology works in the Islamic world, promoting science learning and research in Islamic societies. According to the executive document of the Mustafa Prize, Sorena Sattari (the vice president for science and technology affairs) and Mahdi Safarinia (president of the Pardis Technology Park) are the head and secretary of policy-making council, respectively.

It should be noted that the fourth round of STEP will be held in Sultan Qaboos University in November 2018.
