The third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine was held October 25^th-26^th, 2018 in the presence of experts of research centers and students of 16 provinces of the country in Molasadra student research center of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, students of 16 provinces of the country participated in the second student workshop of the third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine. This two-day event consisted of eight specialized theory and practical workshops to raise the awareness of the participants of the concepts of stem cells, laboratory skills (e.g., culture, cell passage, freeze and de-freeze, tissue engineering, work with laboratory animals), research and writing prerequisites, including proposal, search in scientific articles, paper preparation, bio safety, and ethics in studies on bio-medicine.

Mohammad Javad Mohseni, head supervisor of the student committee of the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter explained about the goals of this headquarter in the specialized workshop for experts on research center affairs.

In another part of his speech, Mohseni described the importance of stem cells in treatment of various diseases, asserting: entrance of students to this field and studying of these individuals in relevant disciplines in universities will result in great advancements in production of stem cell and regenerative medicine sciences and technologies in the country.

He also regarded this national festival an opportunity for self-believe of students eager to learn about stem cells.

It is notable that the achievements of the students in the first and second pre-programs of the third festival will be showcased to the public during November 28^th-December 1^st, 2018. The third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine will be held November 28^th-December 1^st, 2018 by the efforts of the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter.
