Passing the death valley in the path of activities of the accelerators must be paved

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Alireza Daliri, deputy for management and resources development headquarter, pointed out the requirement for counseling and guidance in the beginning of the path of any new startup and business during the meeting with accelerators, expressing: 90% of businesses are destroyed in the beginning of the activities due to lack of proper counseling and guidance. Unfortunately, there is no proper foundation for growth and development of these startups. Therefore, we need to fill the current gaps of startups by accelerators in order to quickly pass this valley and reduce the failure of startups.

In this meeting, Daliri pointed out the start of activities of accelerators in the 11th government, affirming: this section was initiated by our colleagues in Pardis technology park with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

He mentioned that in the past, the majority of activities of startups was toward production, asserting: establishment of innovation centers in universities is a good start in line with activities of accelerators among researchers and students, resulting in more activities of professors. Today, one of the outputs of this activity is the growth of companies that have been able to quickly enter the market.

Daliri talked about the need for new ideas in the mentioned path, conveying: since startups are formed from accelerators, we need to create counseling units to fill the gaps of the path of accelerators for knowledge-based companies, which will result in lower level of loss in this regard.

Deputy for management and resources development headquarter emphasized that there is no meaning in shortage as loan resources and facilities in the area of science and technology. With regard to the reports by the central bank, which are announced on its website, about 500 billion IRT is paid to knowledge-based companies by banks every month. Meanwhile, banks have been unwilling to cooperate with knowledge-based companies and provide them with this type of facilities in the past few years. However, the central bank has announced its prominent banks in the area of providing facilities. Therefore, the current need of this area is creating counseling units for companies, where accelerators can play an important role.

In the end, he mentioned: in this regard, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has aimed to create this ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. Therefore, other people must join this area in order to yield positive results. In the government section, all of the people agree on knowledge-based economy. However, we must accept that being active in this area is associated with some difficulties and we must pass them to achieve a favorable condition.
