More than 10 thousand research projects are approved

Since the establishment of the Iranian national science foundation, more than 10 thousand research projects have been approved for support after evaluation.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the project of establishment of researchers bank was inaugurated three years ago. During this time, the activities of the Iranian foundation were complete. In addition, the supervisors and judges of research projects, as well as members of working groups and presenters of research projects are members of this bank.

Evaluation of the research projects, monitoring the correct implementation of activities and membership in working groups are among the goals of forming this bank. In addition, sometimes it is necessary to order the implementation of studies by researchers based on the needs and priorities of the country, which is carried out based on the information existing in the researchers bank.

According to Nosratollah Zargham, head of the Iranian national science foundation, 35 thousand and 112 faculty members from across the country are members of this bank. In addition, since the establishment of the foundation, more than 10 thousand research projects have been approved by the bank. Therefore, researchers are regarded as a valuable asset, the creativity and thinking power of which increases every day.

According to this report, the process of receiving research projects by the foundation grows in a way that in the first nine months of the year, we have witnessed 18% growth in the number of research projects received by the foundation. Moreover, the number of research projects has had a 27% growth.
