According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Hassan Osare, secretary of the 4^th festival and exhibition of medicinal herbs, natural products and Iranian medicine (traditional) stated about the event: we have come a long way and there is still so much to do. The medicinal herbs and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter has had numerous duties, missions and policies for many years and has obtained significant achievements in this regard.

Osare explained: several programs are considered in this event by predicting its various goals. Revealing the latest scientific and industrial achievements in technological products of medicinal herbs and natural products in line with the development of non-oil economy are among the primary and important objectives of the event.

He also asserted: the culture of knowledge-based economy is like a propulsion for economy of resistance based on the entrepreneurship ecosystem and will be improved and promoted in this path. Branding, as well as qualitative and quantitative growth of medicinal herbal products of Iran have created a new path.

Secretary of the 4^th festival and exhibition of medicinal herbs, natural products and Iranian medicine (traditional) reminded: we have put efforts into the facilitation of formation and strengthening of new businesses (startups) with the cooperation of accelerators. Creation of new markets and promotion of motivation for investment in small innovative agencies is a topic followed up in this national event with the cooperation of our colleagues.

Osare regarded another goal of the event to be introducing the investment potentials of the country in various fields related to medicinal herbs and natural products to attract foreign investors.

He continued: since medicinal herbs and Iranian medicine are considered as old and outdated by the majority of people, we have aimed to present the applications of advanced technologies (e.g., biotechnology and nanotechnology) in production of products based on medicinal herbs and other natural components so that the adaptation of ancient Iranian science to the modern technologies could be revealed more than ever. 

The 4^th festival and exhibition of medicinal herbs, natural products and Iranian medicine (traditional) will be held November 12^th-15^th, 2018 in Musala of Imam Khomeini by the efforts of the medicinal herbs and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter.
