Trees are small factories of innovation and creativity that turn the branches, sap and life of tree trunks into sweet and valuable fruits. In the industry, the upstream circles mainly create a little added value from the raw material, and it is these small and innovative companies that create multi-hundredfold profits.

Dehghani emphasized that the oil and petrochemical industry has a high capacity for value creation, but to realize this, it needs to be connected with the knowledge-based flow and innovation, and continued: If the oil and petrochemical industry wants to increase its level of added value creation. They should seriously welcome the flow of knowledge-based economy.

The head of the National Elites Foundation, referring to the existence of the necessary capacities in knowledge-based companies with the help of the creativity of the educated youth and the creation of the necessary supporting platforms for the localization of more than 250 technologies in the oil and petrochemical industries, added: the most important thing we must do is to strengthen the upstream capable circles and link to knowledge-based and innovative branches. The Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy is fully prepared to pave the way for interaction between the petrochemical industry and active knowledge-based companies in this field.

Dehghani continued: Iran is taking great steps to realize a knowledge-based economy so that it can localize all the technologies it needs in the next 10 years and become a major exporter of downstream products.

The Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy said about the creation of support platforms for the development of knowledge-based economy in the oil and petrochemical industries and added: the launch of the Persian Gulf venture capital fund with a capital of 2 thousand billion tomans for the production of technical knowledge and licenses was a big step in this direction.

He added: The working group for the first time in the vice-presidency of science, technology and knowledge-based economy is another platform that seeks the necessary support to accelerate the arrival of innovations in the field of petrochemicals to this industry. This working group, from the innovative and technological product that is produced for the first time in this field, will reach the contract stage away from the administrative formalities.

Referring to the definition of prominent projects in the field of petrochemicals, the vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy said: At the end of 2022, about ten prominent super-projects were defined in the field of petrochemicals, some of these projects are on the way to implementation, and the benefits and blessings of this year.

Emphasizing that the path of the knowledge-based economy emphasized by the Supreme Leader passes through the development station of downstream petrochemical industries, he said: the vice presidency of science, technology and knowledge-based economy has a special plan for the development of this industry, because everything in the economy is summarized in the development of the value chain of this industry.

Dehghani, stating that for every one dollar in the downstream petrochemical industry, 8 dollars is saved in foreign currency for the country, he said: this year, the people will see the effects and blessings of investing in 10 big projects in the petrochemical industry, and according to the seventh and eighth plan, the development of the export of petrochemical products and the creation of added value in this industry should be doubled.

Pointing to the importance of the petrochemical industry's acceptance of the innovation of knowledge-based companies, Dehghani said: I invite the petrochemical managers to interact with the knowledge-based companies in the scientific department to double the export of petrochemical products and double the revenue of the products. Petrochemical managers are among the most knowledge-based managers in the industry and they know the importance of technology well, and we hope to form a serious interaction to witness the formation of great achievements and great values.
