According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the second symposium on new areas of brain-mapping will be held by the national brain-mapping laboratory in October 2018. Promotion of cognitive sciences in the area of brain-mapping, presenting the latest achievements of the field and updating knowledge and information of researchers and their interaction with each other are the most important goals of the event, the first round of which was successfully held.

However, this round of the event will be held along with the festival of “research and technology of brain-mapping”. In this festival, an exhibition space will be provided for knowledge-based companies of brain-mapping to introduce their abilities free of charge.

In addition, introducing and supporting the top technologies of this field is another program of the festival, in which activists and technologies of the field are gathered and showcase their achievements. However, some awards will be given to the winners of the second IBCIC competition and second fMRI competition. The national brain-mapping laboratory has been established to respond to a part of research and technology needs of the country in the area of creation of imaging and brain simulation infrastructures that are necessary for cognitive research, presenting knowledge-based services in the area of cognitive sciences and technologies using the abilities of experts with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
