Given the fact that biotechnology is a new science in Iran and its programs have been limited to a few number of research centers and projects, there is no place for biotechnology ethics and dos and don’ts. The issue of ethics in biotechnology is very complicated. According to experts, a few individuals have dominance over all aspects the field, from religious and social issues to legal and scientific issues. Currently, there is no law on production and consumption of products obtained from genetic manipulation. Therefore, designing national standards for products and equipment of this field has been emphasized in the national program of biotechnology.

It should be noted that today, this field is taught in many valid universities of the world in schools of law, medicine and philosophy.
