Iran’s Giant Step toward Achieving the Superior Position of 3D Printing Technology in Middle-East

Islamic Republic of Iran has made a giant step today toward achieving the superior position of 3D printing technology in Middle-East through realization of the national act of Iran additive manufacturing industry unveiled today in the margin of the first 3D print show with presence of the presidency vice president for science and technology affairs.

According to the news headquarter of the first 3D print show, the national act of the strategic program of Iran additive manufacturing industry and technology was unveiled at the 3D print show with presence of the presidency vice president for science and technology affairs.

This act compiled by the advanced manufacturing and materials technologies development headquarter of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, follows a long-term and 10-year plan to reach Iran’s desirable position in the field of 3D printing technology among the regional countries.

Activities for compiling this act has been being started from 6 months ago which  this field’s studies are based on documents of advanced countries in this field, country’s situation in the field of 3D printing and interviewing with internal industrial activists.

This act seeks 4 macro aims and 5 strategies and wants to turn Iran to the superior country in Middle-East and South Asia in 10 years. Different layers such as teaching, propagation, leveraging to the 3D printing market and industry and developing this technology have been considered in the aforementioned act.

Moreover, an annual roadmap has been set with this act so that we know what activities get us to the considered prospective each year. However, the most important point predicted in the act is the mean annual growth of 25 percent for the additive manufacturing industry so that at the end of the 10th year, Iran will own 40 percent of the 3D printing market in Middle-East.

 

Based on this report, the first exhibition of 3D print industry and the competition of the best Iranian 3D printer with competition of more than 16 Iranian technologist companies in the field of 3D printing industry hosts enthusiasts affairs from May 1 to 3, 2017 with presence of more than 30 internal and foreign companies of this field at the Iran International Conference Center.
