Infrastructures of drug production must be strengthened in the country

Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated: drug production in the country is one of the most important needs that requires special attention. Over the last few years, we have achieved successful results in the area of drug production. However, we must strengthen the drug production infrastructures of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, expressed about drug production in the country: given the low number of drug manufacturing factories in the country, more efforts must be dedicated to supplying the infrastructures of the industry.

He continued: Iran is one of the countries that has achieved acceptable success in the field of drug production despite the sanctions and shortages. It is notable that all of these successes are due to the activities of our youth and scientists.

According to Ghanei, one of the most important methods to supply the infrastructure of food production in the country in addition to the optimal use of the ability and knowledge of the youth and scientists is the application of the capacity of the Iranian national science foundation, which decreases the risk of drug production in the country.

He also asserted: the presence of capable and wise youth in the country can increase the hope for progress in the field of drug supply. However, all relevant units must use these abilities and invest the ideas of these individuals in order to be successful.
