Increased quality of foods using biotechnology

 

The secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated: one of the benefits of using biotechnology in food industry is increasing the quality of these products.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, explained about the benefits of using biotechnology in food industry of the country, affirming: if biotechnology is used in production of food, there will be a decrease in the food-related risks and an increase in the quality and quantity of food.

He continued: in traditional methods, food value and level of final product have been reduced and there is a greater chance of work risks. Therefore, it is essential to increase the of use biotechnology in this industry.

According to Ghanei, tools available to produce food with the help of biotechnology include nano-biotechnology, molecular biotechnology, enzymes, fermenting, and food nutrition, which have been used in food industry of other countries for many years.

He also asserted: we hope that soon the condition will be provided to use bio tools in food industry and the related projects will be implemented by the help of relevant organizations.
