In the Presence of the Vice President for Science and Technology Affairs; Three Accelerators and One Growth Center Will Be Opened in Kurdistan

Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, was welcomed by the governor and a number of authorities of Kurdistan Province open entering the region. Today, three accelerators will be opened in Sanandaj in areas of health, computer games and digital content. In addition, a video game design and development center will be opened in Marivan. The opening of a growth center and several production lines of knowledge-based products are other plans of this trip.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in the previous travel of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, to Kurdistan, necessary support was allocated to the establishment of several accelerators and innovation and growth centers. The results of follow-ups will be exploited in this center.

Opening the Zhoori Maang Accelerator is one of the parts of the travel. Today, there are eight startups in the accelerator and the foundation has been laid for the establishment of 25 teams in the accelerator.

In addition, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited Zharfa Accelerator, which is specifically active in the area of creative and cultural industries.

Jin Accelerator was also opened in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs. The center is active in the health field and its founders have attempted to turn the center into an innovation center. Today, the center has 40 active startups.

The faculty members of University of Kurdistan have established a polymer and chemistry center opened in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the head of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy.

Sattari also attended the opening ceremony of Attila Orthopedic Co., which has started the second phase of factory and a new production line.

During the trip, the vice president for science and technology affairs unveiled alcohol production line in Kurdistan Province established with the help of the faculty members of University of Kurdistan.

Sattari also visited the technology units of Islamic Azad University, Sanandaj Branch, and Kurdistan University. The inauguration of the Marivan Center for Online Games, Animation and Digital Content Production was another program of this one-day trip.

The ceremony to open a research and technology fund in Kurdistan Province, visiting the smart city service counter office, visiting local authorities and the representative of the Supreme Leader in the province, and attending the meeting of “knowledge-based economy and production leap” were other parts of the trip.

The vice president for science and technology affairs also met with technology activists, managers of knowledge-based companies and founders of startups in Kurdistan Province.
