According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, one of the strategies and necessary solutions for economic development and achieving a stable economy in the country is economic empowering of urban regions or, better put, development of sustainable economy based on intelligence of cities.

Considering the phenomenon of globalization and the progressive development of logistic chain distribution systems, advanced coasts play an important role in growth of economy and competitiveness of the countries in their own region. Making coastal cities smart is regarded as one of the essential needs for sustainable development, for which inadequate efforts have been made in the country.

Therefore, holding the entrepreneurship event with the approach of making intelligent coastal cities for the first time in the country can lead to the introduction of this section to the industry, motivating industry owners and investors to enter this area. Therefore, the information and communication technology research center of the University of Persian Gulf has aimed to hold the “first entrepreneurship event of intelligent coastal city” with the support of the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter and with the cooperation of the innovation and entrepreneurship center of the university and technology park of the University of Persian Gulf.

This event will be held to empower creative students and young adults, who have ideas about this field, and to make purposeful interactions between these individuals and industry owners, investors, designers and manufacturers in order to form independent entrepreneurship cores or those depending on an investing company.

The main topics of the first entrepreneurial event of intelligent coastal city for the use of abilities of sea and shore include technological infrastructures, urban management and planning, traffic and transportation, citizen and smart community, smart management of water and energy, economy, financial supply and commerce, architecture and urbanism, health and environment.
