According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Hossein Ali Bahrami, secretary of water, drought, erosion and environment headquarter, stated: over the past few years, the issue of water crisis and its outcomes has been turned into one of the main challenges of the country. Therefore, our headquarter has aimed to support knowledge-based companies with creative ideas as one of its organizational duties to have a supportive and technological role in the reduction of dangers and damages caused by this crisis.

Bahrami continued: in this regard, some projects, such as recognition of deep water resources in the areas of Sistan and Baluchestan and Southern Khorasan provinces, have been put on the agenda of the headquarter. Transfer of technical knowledge of management, design of exploration wells and observation during digging projects in the water industry have been designed in this respect.

Secretary of water, drought, erosion and environment headquarter explained: in addition, evaluation of various technologies has been considered in order to maintain the water resources in dams of the country, which has led to an agreement with a domestic country to establish a solar power plant on the area of semi-wells of Sistan and Baluchestan province.

He also asserted: this headquarter has aimed to use its group of counselors containing experts and academic elites and knowledge-based and private companies to meet the needs in the water and wastewater industry and prioritize them in 2018 in order to realize the goals related to the comfort and health of citizens of Iran.

According to Bahrami, subjects considered as the activities of this year in the headquarter include the exploitation of new technologies to improve the productivity and reduce the costs of refineries of the country, national project of smart management of water networks of the country to reduce water loss, implementation of pilot projects to reduce water surface evaporation of reservoirs of dams and water reservoirs, establishment of educational-research institutes with the aim of detection, and transfer of technical knowledge and localization of new exploratory methods.
