The funeral ceremony of Dr. Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin, the late deputy of technology innovation and commercialization development headquarter, was held in the presence of scientific, technological and administrative figures of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the funeral ceremony of Dr. Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin was held in the presence of his family and a number of political, academic, scientific, and administrative figures of the country in Shahrak Gharb Central Mosque.

Among the figures attending this ceremony were the vice president for science and technology affairs, Dr. Gholami, minister of science, research and technology, Ali Akbar Salehi, head of nuclear energy organization, Mohammad Ali Afshani, mayor of Tehran, Mohammad Mahdi Zahedi, head of education and research commission of the parliament, Dr. Seyed Kamal Kharazi, secretary of cognitive technologies and sciences development headquarter, Seyed Ahmad Motamedi, head of Amir Kabir University of Industry, Mohammad Fotouhi, head of Sharif University of Industry, Salimi, head of Alameh Tabatabaei University, Modares Hashemi, head of Isfahan University of Industry, Mohammad Ali Najafi, governor of Alborz, Jalali, head of Ghadir Holding, a number of parliament members, and some of the scientific and executive figures and managers and a number of high-level military offices.

After reaching the condolence message of Jahangiri, the first vice president, Gholami, minister of science, research, and technology, appreciated the efforts of this scientific figure in the area of science and technology development.

It is notable that Sheikh Zeinoddin had a PhD in food industries and sciences with the orientation of food biotechnology from University of Nottingham, England and was an associate professor in Isfahan University of Industry. He was also the president of the research and science town of Isfahan, and was selected as the deputy of the technology innovation and commercialization development headquarter since 2013.

He had other experiences such as secretary of the first-fifth round of the national exhibition and festival of “from Science to Practice”, head of the exhibition and festival of laboratory equipment with the title of “Made in Iran”, and a member of the policy-making council of the mentioned festival.

In 2010, Sheikh Zeinoddin was appointed as the top technology manager in the country. In addition, he was the head of the West Asia branch and a member of the board of trustee of IASP during 2010-2012.

He was also the head of the national festival of Sheikh Bahaei entrepreneurship festival and a member of the working group of specialized committee for ministry of science, research and technology.

This scientific figure passed away on June 2^nd 2018 due to heart failure. He was buried in the section of prominent figures of the Bagh Rezvan of Isfahan.
