Culture building lays the foundation for work of innovators and entrepreneurs

The vice president for science and technology affairs was hosted by the entrepreneurs of “Meydoun” TV competition, talking about the importance of culture-building to correct the society’s approach to innovation and entrepreneurship in addition to visiting the exhibition of achievements of the participants and stakeholders of the competition.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, an interesting competition focusing on creativity and innovation has been broadcasted on Channel 3 of IRIB for some time now. The program is the “competition field” for those working in the field of entrepreneurship using their own creativity and innovation to increase value added and jobs in the country.

These entrepreneurs showcased their products to the audience in an exhibition. Today, Sorena Sattari was the guest of the program, who talked about the importance of intellectual, cultural and infrastructure assistance that will revive the culture of entrepreneurship in the country.

Pointing out the statements of the Supreme Leader regarding the support of entrepreneurial culture, Sattari added: this issue has been constantly emphasized by the Supreme Leader and special attention must be paid to this area.

Among the entrepreneurs of “Meydoun” TV program, the vice president for science and technology affairs considered the non-beneficial and old economy of oil as the most important barrier to entrepreneurship. According to Sattari, the most important and valuable asset in the country is innovation. In this regard, he added: Iran’s human capital is a mine full of valuable asset of innovation that faces a strong obstacle to bureaucratic obstacles. Programs such as “Meydoun” seek to change the culture to the benefit of entrepreneurs. Development of the entrepreneurial culture is a serious mission of this TV program. Today, I visited this place to announce my support of entrepreneurs and re-emphasize the importance of entrepreneurship.

Pointing out the support of entrepreneurs participating in “Meydoun”, Sattari marked: even if the companies win at the end, their achievements will be supported. The most important feature of these companies is applying innovative ideas and creating value added. Entrepreneurs recruit graduated and creative people and give the gift of sustainable development to the future generation of the country.

The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter considered the millennium-long history of excellence and long-standing culture of entrepreneurship in Iran as a vital part of the knowledge-based economy and innovative entrepreneurship, expressing: this culture must be restored, remembered and reinforced by such events. Entrepreneurship and innovation must once again become the public culture of a society now surrounded by source culture and thinking.

He added: to achieve this, we must all strive to uphold our core capital, innovation that cannot be quantified. First, we must be able to distance ourselves from crude oil in all its forms, from crude oil to crude saffron. Saffron, as an important agricultural product of Iran, is a good example of products that, with the incorporation of innovation and added value, can become an important source of employment for the wealthy.

Pointing out that 4700 knowledge-based companies and startups have sold more than 90 billion million Tomans and have opened a new way toward economy, asserting: the country"s young ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship is strengthened by the young and educated Iranian generation who transform creativity into wealth and progress.

Sattari pointed out his satisfaction with the start of an entrepreneurial move with the help of this TV program, adding: victory over failure is the most important characteristic of a successful entrepreneur. We may all have trouble achieving our goals, but the key difference between successful people and others is where their failure is the prelude to victory and the beginning of learning and standing again.
