The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded culture building and change of attitude toward the role of technology as a way to attract technology by the industry.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the support of the “13th Robocup of Iran”, mentioning the movement of knowledge and industry of Robotic of Iran toward commercialization by entrance of startups and knowledge-based companies to this area, asserting: the most important necessity of development of technology and industry of robotic of the country is the association of this field with commercialization. Entrance of startups and knowledge-based companies can lay the foundation for the commercialization of technological achievements.
Potential of Creative Workforce for Development of Robotics in Iran
President of the national elites foundation regarded the development of technological competitions to be creating the foundation for more attention to the abilities and capacities of the creative youth of the country in this area, adding: development of robotics must be observed in these competitions since we have a good young creative workforce, who must enter the industrial sections.
Necessity of Attention to Growth of Service-providing Startups and Knowledge-based Companies
The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the necessity of development of service-providing technological businesses, adding: most of the successful startups of the world are active in the area of services, and entrance to the area of technological businesses requires the development of this field.
He continued: the link between technological ideas and the market of competition is the most important challenge of service-providing knowledge-based businesses. In this regard, service-providing startups can play a significant role.
He added that 800 teams have been registered for this event. Meanwhile, these teams have turned their abilities into products with the financial support of the private sector, which require more support in order to accelerate the process.
Made-in-Iran at the Service of Culture Building of Technology and Innovation
Head of the policy-making council of festival of made in Iran pointed out the name of this year, which is support of Iranian products, as a valuable opportunity to build culture on entrance of technology into the market, affirming: in this respect, the Vice-Presidency has aimed to hold the second round of Made in Iran in order to create the opportunity to promote and build the culture of support of high-quality Iranian products as a way to support Iranian technologies along with the slogan of Iranian technology, Iranian business.
Competition of More Than 478 Teams in the 13th Robocup of Iran
These competitions will be held April 5th-7th, 2018 in the international exhibition of Tehran in the presence of 478 teams, selected from 780 registered teams. In addition, 38 teams come from Germany, America, China, France, Netherlands, England, Turkey, Peru, India, Singapore, and South Korea.
In this round of the competition, a total of 132, 193, 93 and 60 teams will compete in university student, high school student, applied and simulation sections.
In this meeting, Sattari was accompanied by Ranjbar, research deputy of Islamic Azad University, Mousakhani, secretary of exhibition, Ghaderfar, Parviz Karami, general director of Made in Iran festival, and a number of managers of Islamic Azad University.
