Creation of healthy product network will reduce the damages caused by cancer in the country

Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter believes that improving nutrition is one of the effective methods to reduce cancer incidence rate, which can be realized by establishing a healthy product network.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei,  secretary of the biotechnology development headquarter, stated about the necessity of forming the healthy product network in the country: using healthy products is one of the ways to control cancer incidence in the world. This issue must be considered by the government.

He added: 50% of cancers can be prevented by more physical activities, lack of smoking and having healthy diets. Providing a healthy range of food is among the responsibilities of governments.

According to Ghanei, the healthy product network (Shams Project) is formed by the support of the biotechnology development headquarter and with the aim of empowering, supporting, promoting and ranking healthy agricultural products.

He continued: the working model with 12 steps on the healthy products from farm to house of customers was designed and presented by the healthy production promotion institute, which was approved and supported by agriculture working group of the headquarter.
