According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Soorena Sattari, the presidency vice president for science and technology affairs declared at the water and drought development headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs’ council’s meeting: Projects done without people’s interference and innovation ecosystem to just use governmental money will definitely be fruitless. There are successful headquarters in presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs such as the “Bio and Nano” headquarter which are among experienced and old headquarters of this vice presidency that have managed to act powerfully in this section through people’s interference and sensitivity and are not solely dependent on governmental subsidy via student sections and research centers and through defining and establishing innovation ecosystem.

Emphasizing on the importance of creating innovation ecosystem in all fields, Sattari stated: It has been proved that all successful fields such as insurance, bank and fintech enjoy successful outcome regarding powerful acting in ecosystem.

Head of the water and drought development headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs stated that establishing innovation ecosystem is highly needed in fields such as water and energy and said: We witness that the governmental subsidy is highly consumed in fields such as water and energy. Thus, these areas need creating private sector-based ecosystem.

Mentioning the advanced countries’ state in using governmental budget in scientific fields, Sattari stated: Governmental money-based governmental researches will be failed for sure which is obvious in advanced countries as well as just 1 to 2 percent of their research budget is supplied governmentally and the private sector supplies the main part of their research cost.

Emphasizing on the nature of start-ups’ activity within the country, he stated: Presenting modern and technological models and supported by the private sector, start-ups can save the country’s industry in different fields. For example, start-ups have managed to introduce multiple technological models in manufacturing domestic catalysts in petrol research centers.

The presidency vice president for science and technology affairs said: Making market in the field of water is not necessary for reducing water consumption but can be considered as one of the most effective levers of this subject.

Finally, he emphasized on the importance of headquarter’s duty for cooperating and coordinating with related organizations and ministries to develop and propagate prior technology.

In another part of this meeting, Nader Qoli Ibrahimi, secretary of the environment’s erosion, water and drought development headquarter of vice presidency for science affairs said: The environment’s erosion, water and drought development headquarter follows the policy of leading and planning for water technologies field through holding this meeting and appointing new members to the headquarter’s council regarding the main approach of the  presidency vice president for science and technology affairs which is problem solving and analyzing technology development issues in the country.
