According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, preparation of identification for each area and compilation of the roadmap of maritime technologies of the country requires holding meetings with organizations, companies and professors that are active in one of the relevant fields, selecting an academic presenter for each section, and using the achievements and experiences of companies and organization in order to realize the works done in this field and abilities of the country. Therefore, the marine knowledge-based industries and technologies development headquarter has announced the cooperation between industry and university to implement the roadmap of marine technologies.

Safar Gholi announced the defining of 50 main areas of marine technology, stating: all of the defined areas have been able to cover all marine industries and technologies. However, not all 50 areas will have audiences or are interesting to organizations or even academic professors. Therefore, some areas, such as telecommunication, have remained without identification since no one has announced his preparedness to provide the identification. Therefore, it cannot be completed if not considered by organizations and professors.

Safar Gholi continued: after the preparation and distribution of the identification, projects will be defined based on the importance of areas and need of companies and organizations, which will be performed with the cooperation of various companies and needs of the relevant companies will be met. In addition, there will be synergy between different companies and parallel work will be prevented.

He continued: one of the most important issues for preparation of identifications for technology area and marine technology roadmap of the country is evaluation of the condition, abilities and industrial infrastructure of other countries and Iran in order to determine our current position and future steps.
