Cooperation of relevant organizations in the area of marine technologies

 

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, a meeting was held in the presence of Mohammad Saeed Seyf, secretary of marine knowledge-based industries and technology development headquarter and marine organizations to evaluate the holding method of the event. In this meeting, marine experts shared their opinions and suggestions.

First, the secretary of the festival expressed the main goals and plans of the festival in its various sections and introduced the event of marine ideas with the topic of port automation. It is notable that the event will be carried out with the cooperation of Ports and Maritime Organization.

Behnam Rezaei, secretary of the 4th national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress”, pointed out that the festival will be held in three areas of industry, school and university students, and marine technology projects and achievements, stating: ROVs competition, student festival, smart fleets competition, marine technology projects and achievements of the country, marine short films and student photography festival, and idea market are among the sections of this national festival, each having its own independent secretariat.

Rezaei mentioned that this festival has eight active secretariat, affirming: among the measures taken to this date we can refer to extensive advertisement in terms of both physical and virtual ads, content production for guidance, updating the festival website and cooperating with organizations through press conferences.

Student Section

In another part of the meeting, Nazari, secretary of the student section of the festival, expressed that management of this section is the responsibility of the marine knowledge-based industries and technologies development headquarter, mentioning: to date, eight provinces have sent works to the secretariat.

He continued: this section will be carried out in two theoretical and operative sections. In this respect, the theoretical section include painting, sketching, caricatures, and replicas. On the other hand, the operational section include ROVs, robots, underwater robots and oil jackets.

With the cooperation of the Vice-Presidency, we have aimed to add two sections of paper boats and ConShip to the operational section, specifically the surface and submarine vessels.

University Student Section

Determining the importance of sea and relevant industries among various strata, promoting scientific and technical issues in construction of smart fleets and ROVs, developing creativity and innovation in students, learning about engineering affairs and construction are among the most important topics in the university student section of the fourth national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress”.

Festival of Marine Short Movies and Photography of Students

Yousefzadi pointed out the considerable progress made in this round of the event, compared to the previous rounds, stating: the works of this section will be received through call to marine and non-marine universities nationwide and with the cooperation of School of Marine Science and Technology of Hormozgan University.

According to this report, the fourth national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress” will be held in October 2018 in Holy Defense Museum in the presence of activists and enthusiasts of the field and with the cooperation of the Vice-Presidency.
