The call to support biodata businesses was published by the convergent technologies strategic center of the Vice-Presidency and with the support of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter to provide an opportunity to support the commercialization of projects based on biodata in the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in the twenty-first century, data has the same vital role it played in the 20th century. Biodata, and in particular genetic data, are one of the emerging cluster categories. These data have many uses and, as a result, many businesses around them are formed or are in the process of being formed.

In this respect, the call to support biodata businesses was jointly published by the convergent technologies strategic center, the biotechnology development headquarter, and the center for development cooperation. This act is an opportunity for support of commercialization of plants based on biodata in the country. In this regard, the process of developing products and creating businesses that have a primary sample will be supported. In addition, realization of cooperation of active players of the field to develop and sell a product (product or service) is one of the major goals of the call.

In this regard, supporting biodata businesses at this stage include the chain of value of data of the new generation of sequencing and microarrays. In addition, the topics of the call include kits and consumed materials, software required in the database, and businesses based on new generation sequence data analysis (NGS) and microarrays. Academics, researchers, and new companies are the business developers and special customers of the event as developers of technology, accelerators, investors, laboratories, and healthcare centers.

Participants of the call must realize that all projects must have a prototype. These projects must have the potential to be turned into sustainable businesses. This call does not include research projects.
