According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahmoud Mehrdad Shokrieh, secretary of advanced materials and manufacturing technologies development headquarter, stated about the position of new and 3D-printing technologies in the printing industry: since the era of cave men, printing industry was born by carving pictures of cave walls. Every day, we have witnessed growth in this area, which shows the essence of the transfer of information in humans. Therefore, we are faced with a complicated and old technology that is quickly developing. Therefore, this industry is one of the civilizing technologies known to man.

In another part of his speech, Shokrieh pointed out the activities of the headquarter, affirming: development of advanced materials and manufacturing in the country with the support of the private sector is the main responsibility of this headquarter and we have put efforts in support of this technology to eliminate the needs and priorities of the country.

He also mentioned the actions of the headquarter on 3D printing, naming activities such as designing the roadmap and national technology document of incremental construction industry of Iran, holding the first incremental construction event, following up and forming the guild of incremental construction in Iran, holding conversations on this technology, improving incremental construction technology at student level and conducting gatherings for companies and activists of this field.

The meeting to learn about the “position of new technologies in 3D printing in the printing industry” was held in the presence of Mahmoud Mehrdad Shokrieh, secretary of advanced materials and manufacturing technologies development headquarter, Mohammad Bitarafan, head of the science and technology association of publication, and a number of activists of the field. This meeting was held in line with the implementation of the national document of strategic technology of incremental construction with the goal of education and culture building for development of uses of incremental construction in the country.
