The vice president for science and technology affairs appreciated the efforts made by IRIB toward the improvement of knowledge-based economy.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, sent a message to Ali Asgari, head of IRIB, expressing: the presence of knowledge-based economy in the country is inevitable. Given the emphasis made by our Supreme Leader on the production of wealth from science, non-oil-based economy and commercialization of knowledge as the saver of the economy of the country, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has sought the formation of a technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem as the supporter and guider of knowledge-based economy over the past years.

The vice president for science and technology affairs stated: therefore, we have promoted the discourse and culture of knowledge-based economy by establishing the knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter and with the cooperation and synergy of various organizations.

He continued: in this regard, extensive efforts have been made in the national media in the field of joint production of various programs by signing a joint cooperation with the topic of support of knowledge-based economy between the Vice-Presidency and IRIB.

According to Sattari, some of these programs that have promoted science and technology in the society include the successful program of “Nasim Danesh” from Nasim Channel, “Bar Bonyan Danesh” from Khabar Channel, “Dot IR” from Channel two and “Zero to 100” from Channel four.

According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, these programs are created and produced with direct support of knowledge-based economy and technology development headquarter. Today, the third year of broadcasting of these programs is observed.

President of the knowledge-based science and technology development headquarter explained: during this time, more than 600 programs have been produces in 31 provinces and 170 cities, introducing more than 2500 technological and knowledge-based companies.

He continued: in addition, we need to address those programs that play a crucial role in introducing knowledge-based economy, new businesses and startups, result of which is displaying the national achievements in the economy of resistance and equitable access to media capacity throughout the country.

In the end, the vice president affirmed: hereby, I extend my gratitude to the efforts of the head and deputy of IRIB and managers of various TV channels and my own colleagues in the knowledge-based science and technology development headquarter for improving the spirit of national self-confidence and hope in the society through the national media.
