According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, development of desalination technologies is one of the important priorities of the roadmap of the executive document in the workgroup of water of the water, draught, erosion and environment technologies development headquarter. In this regard, the symposium of “position and role of academics and scientific centers in realization of the sixth development program of the country (sea water desalinization)” will be held May 14^th 2018 in Sharif University of Industry with the support of water, draught, erosion and environment technologies development headquarter.

This event will be held with the goal of determining the importance of using desalinization technologies in supplying water for the country and implementing the Article 36 of the sixth development program, determining the necessities of implementing the sixth development program in the area of desalinization, determining the role of universities and research centers in management of transfer of water desalinization technology, introducing the potential of universities and science centers in solving desalinization problems of the country, attracting the inter-organizational cooperation to operationalize the Article 36 of the sixth development program and evaluating the needs of the country to a specialized science center in the area of desalinization using the experiences and activities of domestic and international centers.
