About the National Cultural and Artistic Festival of “Made in Iran”;

A bridge to reach the support of Iranian products

A bridge to reach the support of Iranian products

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the subject of domestic production and support of this act has been discussed by experts and economic activists for many years. They believe that domestic production must be supported so that the manufacturers are encouraged. However, this has been only on paper and never been really followed up. Therefore, the majority of producers are moving toward bankruptcy and failure. It should not be neglected that the producers themselves have a significant role in this regard and must try their best to increase the quality of their products, so that people and the society believe that the present foreign products can be replaced by these domestically produced goods.

With regard to the need of the society for culture promotion for the use of domestically-produced goods, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs aimed to allocate its most important and effective events to this issue. In this regard, the first round of the international cultural and artistic festival of “Made in Iran” was held with the aim of supporting Iranian products and promoting the culture of using domestically-produced goods, which will be a step toward developing the support of this products without a doubt.

The international cultural and artistic festival of “Made in Iran” was held with the slogan of “Iranian Technology, Iranian Business” and with the purpose of creating movements toward the support of the internal and knowledge-based production by the knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter of the vice presidency for science affairs.

The festival of “Made in Iran” was also held in order to engender the scientific revolution and commemorate the formation of a new Islamic civilization in Iran. In addition, it was aimed to establish the movement of attention to and support of knowledge-based economy as one of the most strategic infrastructures for development and excellence of the country. By doing so, relevant contents were provided in the cyberspace and print, television and radio media.

Some of the other aims of this event were denial of indiscriminate and unnecessary imports, introduction of new and knowledge-based businesses, strengthening the branding of Iranian brands through strengthening the relationship between culture and art activists and knowledge-based economy activists, culture building and familiarizing the society with knowledge-based economy and promotion of resistive economy.

Given the importance of holding this festival, various topics were chosen, the most important of which included movement toward content production in the cyberspace to introduce new and knowledge-based businesses, knowledge-based economy (research and technology centers, incubators, science and technology parks, knowledge-based companies), revealing the scientific Iranian progresses and achievements (in the field of headquarters of the strategic technologies),  support of domestically-produced products in Iran, denial of indiscriminate and unnecessary imports, introducing the latest technological achievements in provinces and parts of the country and resistive economy.

The closing ceremony of this event was held in the presence of Eshagh Jahangiri, first vice president, Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs, and a number of managers in the IRIB International Conference Center and the selected works of the five sections were introduced.

According to this report, the cultural and artistic festival of “Made in Iran” was held with the aims of “Movement toward content production for cyberspace, related to commercialization, entrepreneurship and knowledge-based economy”, “support of Iranian products and services”, “organization of excessive import and valuing high-quality Iranian products and services” and “branding the top Iranian products”, in five sections of literature, visual arts, audiovisual media, digital media and market idea with the support of headquarters for developing culture of science, technology and knowledge-based economy and Parviz Karami, secretary-general of “Made in Iran” festival.
